3/23/2012 16:06:173Though it was difficult to follow the many slides of the last day, it was very useful to have a large overview of practical aspects of driver frameworks, boards porting.

We also has plenty of time on lab exercises which was essential.
Excellent course, great instruction, materials and labs
Thanks!
55I really appreciate that these are freely available.
555555It could be useful to provide some file sharing capabilities during the course.
-> e.g. an NFS source of labs, slides, kernel sources
-> a separate NFS share where pupils can freely exchange files during the course
553in my current daily job, not useful at all ... but then I wouldn't have had this as a DIF otherwise.

I'd be interested to see what could be proposed but I've no specific request.

3/23/2012 18:25:082Material was too long to add values over it.Overall, It has been a very nice presentation. Was very informative (Well done!). But there was short of training sessions.55553The problem is, the materials were too long and for a duration of 5 days.455554564Linux kernel scheduler and memory management.4GIT relatedOpen training materials that can be checked in advance, LanguageInternet search enginesTechnical support, Investigating and fixing bugs, Consulting in technology selection and methodology , On-site development, support and consulting servicesHopefully, we will be in touch in the future; as our organization is planing to build a strong competency in linux kernel development.

Mais la politique de ma société et surtout de mon patron est d'eviter au maximum les prestations pour conserver la maitrise sur nos produits...

Un bémol : si le délai sur le projet est trop court, on peut déroger à cette règle...

3/23/2012 18:31:163of course, there was one thing from my expectations from the aspect of security that was not addressed directly. But am fully satisfied as far as the course's main objective55I really recommend these materials to people who have been experimenting in the areas of kernel and driver development but do not know where and how to understand it exactly 5555I liked his passion to entertain questions from the audience 5555frankly speaking, i was really afraid of the kernel source. 3/26/2012 12:22:132See also comment aboveI would rate this as a 4 because in principal all necessary topics were talked about. Even though I'd wished we get a bit more also in practical details regarding BSP creation / development but I understand that this topic is highly hardware specific and hard to cover in a short time frame55Especially the labs are really good. I liked them.
Hard choice trading off lectures and labs due to different knowledge and experience from course attendees. In a different group it might have worked out better but for this group it definitely was ok.
53At some points I would have wished for some more information but again – the Topics covered in the Training are big ones and some of them deserve alone a week to fully explain them. So it was ok.54See also comment on question 64Everything was quite ok.5544553Process management, memory management, scheduling implementation, board specific code, board specific interrupt support code, DMA support, bootloader development4Not filledNot filledNot filled
