2/12/2015 13:12:004maybe can squize in 4 days555i think that labs should be spread between lectures and not at the end of lectures.
I know it ws customer request, but it was wrong from my prerspective

2/12/2015 13:43:484Again, as a support engineer i need some time during the day to attend to my customers. This course was targeted at kernel developers, while i am a support engineer, thus having a more general training on how linux OS works, the interaction of its components, how to find the building blocks in the code, how to understand in a given working platform what is working where, is more what i need.
but the course material was good.
55Thomas showed very good understanding of the material and the questions asked5553As Thomas noted - the split to 1/2/ day lecture followed by 1/2 day training instead of interleaved wasn't so good. 4For me the session on free-electrons activity on the mainline was redundant.465reiterating the above -
"general training on how linux OS works, the interaction of its components, how to find the building blocks in the code, how to understand in a given working platform what is working where"

2/12/2015 13:48:243The course has Linux knowledge with "customers flavor" and this is really matters.5A lot of useful links which may be used in the future.5Fluently speaking in convenient tempo for listening and ready to promptly answer to any question!5In-depth knowledge of all conveyed material makes him ready for discussion on any topic.33Not applicable - I didn't participate in the lab sessions.55Even known before things were, sometimes, put in systematic order.5Focus on my company's SoCs was very helpful.75OpenWRT, Android, Buildroot5Linux Frameworks, Device Tree...Not applicable - My management made the decisionFree Electrons chosen by my managementNot applicableThe course was selected by my management. Not applicable - I didn't participate in the lab sessions.53Not applicable - I didn't participate in the lab sessions. Not applicable - I didn't participate in the lab sessions.33Not applicable - I didn't participate in the lab sessions. From less than 100 km / 60 miles

2/12/2015 14:58:045I fill this is very to have such course in one week rather than have it single days every week, the information is 'fresh" and usable better.555542Lectures in morning and labs in afternoon is much less useful.33644LecturesLabs, linux is pretty new for me.Not applicable - My management made the decisionNot relevantTechnical supportThank you.
This was very good and useful training.
53The training program was not good. Having all lecture in the morning and all labs in the afternoon is not good, because there is a lot of information to handle. Better to have sessions of lecture+lab. There were difficult due to new materia.
But sufficient for adding new value to the traning.

2/12/2015 15:10:4635555Some editor (like Slickedit) with defined project with tagging(functions and structures) will definitely help to non experienced users to find more easily declarations and examples. 554For non experienced Linux Kernel user is was very difficult to understand such amount of new info and use it on LAB. But this is not a problem of instructor.47Many links in LAB book that should be entered manually - may be small TXT file on PCs desktop will help.55I2C, debug, LABsTrainer, Not applicable - My management made the decisionmy companyNot interested5533From a foreign country

2/13/2015 20:08:453very interesting, good coverage.
I suggest limiting of covering my companies chips' support in mainline (probably shouldn't take more than 10-15min) and expanding more topics like memory management and scheduling (maybe less relevant to device drivers but still very useful knowledge)
555excellent oral skills54554Device drivers are not my main work but more than several topics were both interesting and useful75scheduling, memory management, real-time linux support4device model, locking primitives, interrupt handling, debuggingdts - but it's not your fault )Not applicable - My management made the decisionInternet search enginesNot interested5533From more than 100 km / 60 miles, same country
